Animal Factos Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 17, 2026. Animal Factos is a Brazil-based company that manages its own Animal Factos social-media accounts and content. This policy explains how we handle information when visitors use animalfactos.com and when authorized Animal Factos accounts use our internal publishing tools, including TikTok integrations.
Information we process
On our public website, we process only information needed to provide and secure the site, such as standard server logs, device/browser information, IP address, and limited analytics or cookie data where enabled. We do not require visitors to create an account.
For an authorized TikTok account, we may receive the account's basic profile information, authorized scopes, account identifiers, and OAuth access and refresh tokens. We use these data only to identify the authorized account, upload or publish Animal Factos content when instructed, maintain the connection, and troubleshoot the integration. We do not request TikTok passwords.
Purpose and legal basis
We process data to operate Animal Factos, authenticate authorized social accounts, publish or upload content requested by the account owner, protect our systems, comply with legal obligations, and respond to support requests. Our legitimate operational interests and, where required, the account owner's authorization are the basis for this processing.
TikTok data and sharing
TikTok data is used solely for the integration described above and is not sold, rented, or used for advertising profiling. We share data with TikTok only as needed to perform an authorized API request. TikTok separately processes information under its own policies. Our site may link to third-party platforms; their data practices are governed by their respective policies.
Retention and deletion
We retain OAuth tokens and related integration data only while the account remains connected and for the minimum time necessary for security, audit, or legal obligations. Tokens are deleted or revoked when an account is disconnected, access is withdrawn, or retention is no longer necessary. You may request deletion of personal data or disconnection of an authorized account by emailing animalfactos@proton.me. We will verify the request and respond in accordance with applicable law.
Security
We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including access restrictions and encrypted transport, to protect information and API credentials. No service can guarantee absolute security; please do not send passwords or sensitive credentials by email.
Your rights and contact
Subject to applicable law, including Brazil's LGPD, you may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, portability, deletion, information about sharing, or withdrawal of authorization. Contact animalfactos@proton.me for privacy, deletion, or TikTok-data questions. We may update this policy; the effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
